As part of Securitize iD KYC, Identity verification is required when opening accounts in order to ensure safety and compliance.

Acceptable forms of ID

Depending on the country of residence, Securitize accepts a US Drivers License, National ID card, or Passport. Review the guidelines for the accepted POI that vary by country:

• European Union
  • Passport
  • National Identity Card: [Front and Back]
• United States
  • Passport
  • Drivers License: [Front and Back]
  • State ID: [Front and Back]
• Worldwide (not EU or US)
  • A passport is the only accepted form of identification

Tips for uploading a POI

• All 4 corners of the document must be visible within the photograph  
• When taking the photo, turn off the camera’s flash to prevent glare on your document
• Review that your document is clear and visible. Take a new photo if you are unable to read the information in the photograph
• Screenshots will automatically be rejected as valid
• Edited or cropped IDs will be rejected as they are recognized as digitally modified
• The POI must be current (not expired)
