Getting started with a Proof of Address document
Securitize iD KYC does not require a Proof of Address (POA) for any jurisdiction in order to proceed with the verification process.
Note: If you previously had issues uploading a POA, please try completing your KYC again as we have removed POA from the KYC process.
Review the tips below for the types of supported POA documents and proper formatting if Securitize has reached out to request a POA in order to complete your verification:
Supported POA
The following are examples of the types of POA's that are accepted for the review process:
- Energy provider bill
- Tax assessment
- Mortgage statement
- Certificate of voter registration
- Bank statement, Council tax bill, Utility bill
- Correspondence between you and a government authority regarding the receipt of benefits such as a pension
- Unemployment benefits, housing benefits, etc
- Utility company bills
- Gas bill
- Electricity bill
- Water bill
- Cable company bill (except from satellite TV companies)
- Landline telephone bill
Unsupported POA
Any of the following documents will not be accepted and cause further delay in processing your KYC application:
- A Screenshot of any of the above documents
- Mobile Phone bills
- Receipts
- Advertisements
- Insurance bills
- Medical bills
- Photographic ID
- Satellite TV bill
Helpful Tips
- Documents must be on company or government letterhead
- Dated within 90 days of the application
- Includes your first and last name
- Matches the first and last name on your Securitize iD profile (must be an exact match)
- Matches the address on your Securitize iD (must be an exact match)
- Edited or cropped POAs as they are recognized as digitally modified
- Document must be in PDF format
- Contain the date it was issued
- Must not be an address that contains a P.O. Box
- Full document is clear and visible
- All four corners of the document are included within the photo or pdf upload
- Redact information with a “sticky note” or marker only (graphically editing the document with a PDF editor will cause the document to be rejected)
- Screenshots are automatically rejected
