How do I place an order to sell a token on Securitize Markets?
Selling your tokens is made simple through Securitize Markets!
Before you can sell your tokens, you must make sure your tokens have been moved into Securitize Markets. Click here for information on how to deposit your tokens from your Algorand wallet. Or click here for information on how to deposit your tokens from your Ethereum wallet.
Once your tokens have been moved into Securitize Markets, you're ready to trade!
Start by navigating to the Securitize Markets - Trading page, or click here.
Next, search through the Asset Catalog for the token you are looking to trade and double click to be directed to the Issuer’s page.
On the right side of the Issuer’s page you will see the “Order Book”. The order book lists all pending buy and sell orders. You can complete a pending order within the Order Book for immediate execution or you can create a new order to your specifications.
To create a sell order for your tokens, click “Sell” in the top right corner.
You will be presented with a popup in which you will enter your desired sell order quantity and price.
*NOTE: Make sure you are creating an order to sell.
Your order will remain open for 365 days. Note: If you want your order to be for a shorter period you will need to login to your account and cancel the order at the desired time.
Once the order is filled to your desired specifications, click next.
Your order specifications will be displayed one final time. If everything looks correct, you will need to agree and click “Submit Order”. You will receive an email confirmation that your order was placed.
After submitting your order, your sell order will then be visible in the order book for another investor to match.
*NOTE: You cannot move your tokens out of Securitize Markets while you have an open sell order.
Once your order has been successfully filled, you will receive a confirmation email with the Trade Details.
If you ever need to cancel an open sell order, you can do so under the “My Orders - Active Orders” subtab. To the right of your pending order you will see a “Cancel” option. This will terminate your open order.
